I can’t believe that in just a few days I will be accomplishing one of the biggest goals I set for myself. . Two or three years ago I would have never thought that I would be running my first 5K this year. There were times in the past that I wasn’t even sure that I would be alive in 2012 because of my poor health, my weight issues, and my severe depression. With my health and weight improving each day and my depression non-existent right now, I am well on my way to having a long healthy life. It’s amazing how much life can change when you have a positive attitude and your health.
I found another great picture I want to share. It’s a scale, now you know I hate scales, because that “number” on the scale does not dictate my health or worth. I can be a heavier weight and still try to maintain a healthier lifestyle. This scale is different and I wish it was a real scale because I would gladly have this scale in my bathroom! This scale shows one that they are beautiful not matter what your “actual weight” is. In order to live a healthier life and learn to live that healthier life, you need to love yourself at any size. When you accept yourself as a plus size woman or man you feel better about yourself and have more energy to exercise and eat healthier options. If you don’t love yourself as you are it’s hard to want to make any positive changes in your life. When you make those positive changes in your life, sometimes weight loss comes with it.
Daily Inspirational Quote: “In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man’s proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it’s yours.” ~Ayn Rand
