So I forgot to mention that after being stalled for almost two months my weight loss has finally picked back up. I lost 2 pounds the week before but didn’t get to excited because every weigh in I had I was yo-yoing between the same few numbers, well when I weighed in this week I was down another 4 lbs from the week before for a two week total of 6 pounds. All I changed over the past few weeks was adding in walking a few miles almost everyday. I did that in addition to my personal training that I started a month ago. I made no dietary changes. So this is why I try not to freak out when the scale doesn’t always move. I just kept moving full speed ahead. The scale is not the only indicator you can use. During this whole time of my long stall my clothes were still getting looser and I was gaining energy so I knew that the scale would pick back up eventually, which it did! But knowing my body I will probably not have lost anything is week or even gained a pound. I wonder if I’m finally “un-stalled?!” But I don’t freak out because I know I am doing nothing different that the weeks I lost. Don’t rely solely on your scale to measure your success!
I wanted to share the phone app that I am obsessed with, MapMyWalk, there is also a run and a hike one, but I believe they are all pretty similar. I love it because when I go out and walk I like to know how much I am doing. I’m big on knowing how many miles I have walked because I can remember a time where I could barely walk down the street without wanting to die. It gives me details and a map like the one from my walk today (see below) which I can even post to Facebook. At the end of the week I get an email summary of how many miles I did for the week, I love seeing how active I am now.
